Dancing in Dompa!
Dompa is a village on Lake Bosomtwe about a 15-20 minute drive or a 2 hour walk from the Clinic here in Amakom.
Sadly, it has been considered by other villagers a poor and dirtier village and the people are looked down upon.
On Sunday we had a community church service in Dompa. And what a service it was!
We sang lots of songs and danced a couple of times around the center area.
I held a very curious young girl who pinched my nose, played with my face and felt the skin on my arm as I don't think she's ever been that close to an 'Obruni' before.
We prayed plenty, and listened to many sermons! Hollie taught all the children the song, “Cast Your Burdens” and they loved it! Nobody seemed to mind the chickens and dogs wandering through the crowd.
The importance of denomination is very strong here and I watched in awe as these people came together to worship the Lord.
To God be the glory! It was a very special day and I'm so grateful to have been a part of it.

Praise the Lord!'Because of God's tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace." - Luke 1:78-79 (New Living Translation)
